1. Information handled by the site
- Accounts: email address, account name and a password hash for password-based accounts. External sign-in can also supply a provider identifier and profile details.
- Listings: server addresses, descriptions, images, links, compatibility labels and settings supplied by owners. Saved voting-service settings may include authentication credentials.
- Activity: votes, reviews, reports, server bumps and associated timestamps. IP addresses are used in parts of the service for rate limits and abuse prevention.
- Support: the name, email address, subject and message you submit, plus the correspondence needed to handle the request.
- Purchases: product, amount, payment status and payment or subscription identifiers. PayPal handles the payment process; MinecraftIP does not collect full card numbers in its forms.
These records support accounts, listings, vote delivery, moderation, billing and support. Server polling also stores observations such as availability and player counts; where a server exposes player names, the directory can record player sightings.
2. What other visitors can see
Listings, owner-submitted descriptions and links, reviews and their displayed author names are public. Voting pages can display voter names and vote totals. Server pages may display activity information gathered from the server.
Do not put private contact details, authentication tokens or sensitive personal information in a listing, review or public profile. A Minecraft username can still identify a person even when it is not their legal name.
3. Sign-in, payments and embedded media
Google or Discord sign-in, where enabled, involves the selected provider. Payments involve PayPal. Email delivery and hosting providers handle information needed to deliver their services. The operator’s exact provider list and any international-transfer arrangements still need to be confirmed for this draft.
Video players use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed domain and are inserted when you choose to play a video. Video previews or other externally hosted assets may contact their hosts before playback. Opening an external link or playing a video can disclose connection information to that provider.
The site uses session and preference storage for functions such as sign-in, display choices and the cookie notice. Optional analytics depend on the deployed configuration. The notice acknowledgement should not be read as consent to every possible tracking technology.
4. Retention and security
Retention differs by record type. The current server-polling routine removes raw ping samples older than seven days when that routine runs. Other statistics and player-sighting records are separate and are not covered by that cleanup.
A complete schedule for accounts, votes, support messages, security logs, backups and payment records must be confirmed before this policy is finalized. Legal recordkeeping and unresolved disputes may require some information to be kept after an account closes.
Passwords for password-based accounts are stored as hashes. Avoid sending passwords, private keys or voting tokens in support requests. Use the contact form to report a suspected exposure and identify the affected account or page without repeating the secret.
5. Requests and choices
Use the contact form with a subject such as “Privacy request” to ask about access, correction or deletion. Identify the account or content concerned. We may need to verify that a request comes from the relevant person before disclosing or changing account information.
Depending on the law that applies, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, receive portable data, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, or complain to a supervisory authority. A request to delete data does not always remove records that must lawfully be retained.
Public directory information can be copied or indexed by third parties. Removing it here does not automatically remove copies held elsewhere. For information held by a game server, contact that server’s operator directly.
6. Details to complete before publication
This is a working policy draft. The operator identity and privacy contact, applicable legal bases, provider and transfer details, retention schedule, and approach to children’s data need to be confirmed against the deployed service. The placeholder location in Panama does not by itself determine every law that may apply.
Future revisions should state what changed and use an actual revision date. Continued browsing is not treated here as blanket consent to new uses of personal data.
