Minecraft Server Tags
Choose the experience first, then check compatibility. Survival, Skyblock and Prison describe how you play; Economy, Jobs and Auctions describe features that can appear inside those modes. A server can carry several tags.

Which tag should you start with?
For a persistent shared world, compare Survival, Vanilla and Towny. Read claim and reset rules before choosing a place for a long-term build.
For short competitive sessions, start with Minigames or PvP. Check queue activity for the specific mode; a network total can include people playing something else.
For a progression project, compare Skyblock, Prison and Quests. Look at team access, reset schedules and what a new player can unlock.
Questions about tags
Does a tag guarantee a particular feature?
No. Owners categorize their listings. Open the description to check what is implemented, whether the mode is currently open and what its rules allow.
Why does one server have several tags?
Tags can describe different aspects of the same experience. Survival can also include an economy and quests; a network may offer separate game modes under one address.
How do I combine a mode with a version or edition?
Use the server finder. Tags describe gameplay, while edition and version fields help identify compatible clients. A mode name alone does not establish Bedrock support.
Why are some categories empty?
No current listing uses that tag. The category guide can explain the mode, but it is not a promise that a matching community is available. Start with a category showing a nonzero count to explore listed servers.
