Hardcore Minecraft Servers

Compare communities, check the rules and find your next server.

Hardcore communities make death consequential, but their rules are not identical. A listing may describe a permanent ban, a temporary lockout, a season reset or a custom revival system. Find out exactly what you lose before committing to a character or a group.

BEFORE YOU COMMIT

What to check on a Hardcore server

Read the death policy first

Ask whether death removes your character, inventory, access or only the current run. Check whether environmental deaths and PvP deaths are treated differently.

Look for recovery conditions

Some communities allow a revival or a new attempt after a delay. Learn the cost and limits before relying on a teammate to bring you back.

Check the combat boundary

Confirm whether other players can attack you, where safe areas end and whether traps are allowed. A survival-focused description does not automatically mean cooperative play.

Plan for season changes

Find out whether the map has a fixed season and what carries over. Persistent ranks, seasonal leaderboards and world inventories may follow different reset rules.

Need connection help? Follow the Java joining steps or Bedrock joining steps.

PLAYER QUESTIONS

Hardcore server FAQs

Does Hardcore always mean a permanent ban?

No. The label is used for different community rules. Read the actual death penalty; the owner’s published policy is more useful than the tag.

Can a friend revive me?

Only if the server has such a system. Ask what is required, whether there is a limit and whether a revival restores items or just access.

Is PvP enabled?

It may be enabled, disabled or limited to certain areas. Check combat and trapping rules before leaving spawn or sharing your base location.

Can I restart after dying?

Some servers allow a fresh character or a later attempt; others do not. Find out before investing time in a run.

What if lag causes a death?

Check whether staff review deaths and what evidence they require. Do not assume that a rollback or revival will be granted.

How can beginners prepare?

Read the rules, test your connection and understand the safe zones. Join with a small plan and avoid carrying all your valuables until you know the environment.
