What to check on a Adventure server
Choose guided or open exploration
Read whether routes are linear, level-gated or freely explorable. A well-designed story and an open sandbox meet different expectations, even when both use the Adventure tag.
Check encounter requirements
Ask about recommended party size, entry costs and whether failure consumes a key or ticket. Try an introductory encounter before spending rare resources.
Review build restrictions
Adventure worlds can restrict breaking blocks or placing items to protect puzzles and scenery. Confirm where you can build if you also want a permanent base.
Prepare the correct client
Use the resource pack or modpack specified by the community. Do not substitute a similarly named pack; missing assets can make puzzles or interfaces difficult to understand.

Adventure server FAQs
Is Adventure the same as Minecraft’s Adventure mode?
Not necessarily. The directory label describes the experience a server advertises. A server may use Survival mode, Adventure mode or a mixture in different areas.
Can I build a base on an adventure server?
Check whether it has a separate building world or player housing. A designed map may deliberately prevent normal mining and construction.
Do I need a group for dungeons?
Some encounters are solo-friendly, while others are balanced around parties. Confirm group size and whether rewards are shared before joining a queue.
Will I lose progress after disconnecting?
That depends on checkpoints and instance rules. Ask what happens to an unfinished dungeon, spent entry items and quest progress.
Is a resource pack required?
The owner should say whether it is mandatory. Some packs supply essential visual cues; others are cosmetic. Obtain it through the community’s documented process.
How do I avoid getting stuck?
Read the starting guide and note the help or unstuck options. If a puzzle appears broken, record where it happened rather than destroying or bypassing map elements.
